Support for CNAME and DNS settings

I'd like the ability to connect my own custom domain to my JIM site using CNAME or DNS settings, rather than using the default jim.com/a/ subpath. This would give my brand a more professional and cohesive online presence; for example, pointing mycustomdomain.com directly to my JIM site.
I understand domain redirects on my hosting provider side is available but it's much more professional to use the CNAME and DNS route.
